Personal Protection - Your Questions Answered.

We're often asked to explain the complex world of personal protection, so we've listed some of the most frequently asked questions here. If you don't find the answer you're looking for, give us a call at anytime.

Why should we trust BPS Personal?

Because our only aim is to provide the right solution for you.

Already, many of our personal clients are happy to recommend us to their friends and family. You can see what they say about BPS Personal here.

The advice you receive will be provided by an experienced protection adviser, who draws on his Chartered Accountancy background to help individuals and their families obtain a holistic view of their insurance needs.

And to give you further peace of mind, rest assured that we are an Appointed Representative of First Complete Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

How much does the advice cost?

Our advice to you is FREE.

It's only when you accept our recommendation and purchase an insurance policy that BPS Personal receives a commission from the insurance provider.

We do not charge you a fee for our services.

How much of your time do we need?

While each client's experience is different on account of their different needs, it's our aim to make the process as efficient as possible.

In general, an initial meeting would take less than an hour, including finalising next steps and an overall timeline. The required processing time can vary greatly depending on your exact circumstances and underwriting requirements.

In most cases, we can advise you and process your application in under 2 hours of your time, when and where you want to meet with us.

We also have offices conveniently located in Belfast and Portadown should you wish to come to us.

We have something in place. Surely we are OK?

If you're not confident in your cover, we'd be happy to review it free of charge.

We've reviewed existing policies on behalf of many clients and often find that we can, at the very least, recommend more comprehensive cover at a comparable price.

We can also advise on how a trust can offer additional protection in certain circumstances.

What is a trust?

A Trust allows a gift to be made to someone without giving them any control over the gifted property, safeguarding it for future generations or other beneficiaries.

Please see "Benefits of trusts" for more information.

It will never happen to me. Will it?

No one can see into the future. Which is why it's advisable to protect yourself and your family the best you can afford to.

There's a good chance you know someone who is off work through long term illness, has had a health scare or who has recently died.

Your main concern should be to protect your and your family's lifestyle should the unthinkable happen.
