We recommend a 4-step process as the best route to a better protected business:
We'll introduce ourselves and give you an insight into our history and expertise. We'll then find out about you, your business, family, financial circumstances and plans for the future - all essential to finding the most appropriate solutions and costs.
We'll also take you through our process, the importance of life insurance trusts and next steps including arranging a second meeting and agreeing an affordable maximum budget.
We allow 1 week in-between meetings, maintaining the momentum and using your time efficiently. You'll benefit from having the information fresh in your mind, and we'll have time to search our panel of well known providers to source the best solutions for you, as cost-effectively as possible.
At our second meeting, we'll present a range of solutions sourced specifically for you, showing both the benefits and costs of each. We'll answer your questions to help you to make informed decisions and arrive at the most suitable solution for your exact circumstances.
At this stage, we are happy for fellow business owners, family members or professional advisers to attend to make sure you're as confident as we are in the recommended solution, and that you're happy to take the next step - a brief medical questionnaire by telephone.
In our experience, arranging the telephone medical questionnaire within a couple of days of the second meeting is the best way to keep the process moving forward efficiently and your application on track.
Tele-Medical - We'll arrange a call at a time that suits you - in the evening or at the weekend if you wish - to go through your medical and lifestyle information. This is key to making sure that your application is underwritten appropriately and in your best interests.
Once we've collated your medical information, we package up your application and submit it to the most suitable provider available to us, given your exact circumstances.
The complexity of the medical and financial underwriting that is required determines how long this stage of the process takes. The good news is that we do all the leg work and liaising with the insurance providers to ensure that your case is processed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We use this time to assist you with the necessary trustee selection and trust documentation (where appropriate) to ensure that as soon as the insurance company has finished underwriting your case we are ready to start your policy.
Depending on your circumstances, the third meeting might not be required but if you meet with us, we'd be happy to do that where and when it suits you. We want to you to be fully aware of what you are covered for and the importance of keeping the original documents in a safe place. We use this opportunity to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with our advice and service levels.
